How to Display

All our wall art is permanently mounted on an oxidized porcelain or slate tile with a UV protective coating. Even so, it is not recommended to hang outside in direct sun. They will hold up to displaying in a bathroom where there is humidity. To clean, use a dry duster. If you need to clean residue off the surface, a damp rag with Windex works fine.

We include a wall hanger with each piece. No need to hang in stud, but do not hang with just a nail in wall. Weight seems heavier than it is because it is concentrated weight.

About Our Slate Pics

Colorado Nature Photographer, David Clack, created the Slate Pics idea in 2009. Having sold larger framed prints in galleries for many years, David wanted to provide an affordable presentation of his work for everyone to enjoy.

After many attempts, David was able to perfect the process of presenting a giclée print on a porcelain tile. From protecting the print with a UV protection to the hanging system, many different processes were explored. He wanted to ensure the product would endure for many years of enjoyment.

We now also offer the photography of some of the most prominent photographers from across the United States with retail locations in all 50 states.

You can contact us to find a retail location in your area or order online and we will be happy to ship directly to you.
